Who Cares if the Ground Hog got it right,
Spring is STILL Coming. I promise.

Spring is Springing! Yay! I just came inside from shooting a video outside and WOW!  It’s nice out! Yes, I realize that when you get this and read it that it could be cold and rainy, but those cold days are just about over.  Everyone loves Spring, primarily because it means… summer is near!

For many across this great country though, it’s still COLD, grey, and snowy! One thing is for sure, this winter season is coming to an end.  It does every year without fail.

Just like the weather seasons come and go, so do the seasons of life.  I just turned 51, my youngest is in college, and my oldest is off figuring out work and life.  Are you with me when I say that these seasons seem to come and go faster and faster as well as the time?  My wife reminded me last night we have shared 38 of my birthdays together.

Some of life’s seasons will be HOT and others will be COLD, some high and some low. The lows we want to move by quickly, the highs we want to stay in forever.  But it’s the low points, those tough times, that I have learned the most from.  All of these experiences through the seasons make me who I am.

Don’t get me wrong, these families long to see their kids out in the yard playing or riding their bikes – but for now, they are praying this will be a season of healing.

This year, we’d like to give even more!

We are on a mission to raise $50,000 for SickKids Foundation. We do this by donating to them a portion of our income from the homes we sell.  As you know the SickKids Foundation does awesome work in helping kids fight through and survive nasty life-threatening diseases like cancer, Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, leukemia, and others. They also lead the way in early diagnosis of Autism and rapid recovery from spinal cord injuries.

It is very common at the beginning of the year for all of us on our team to sit and reflect on the past year. We think how grateful we are for ALL the many supporters of our team. Our business survives 
on our clients and friends referring us to those they know looking to buy or sell a home. We put our heads together and said we HAVE to give back to those who give so much to us! It’s really not fair that all of our past clients get treated the same as our Raving Fans. So we created an EXCLUSIVE program for the Raving Fans of the Toronto Platinum Realty Team!

Who do we consider a Raving Fan? A Raving Fan is someone who has introduced us to or sent us the contact information for someone who is looking to buy or sell a home. If you are receiving this letter, it means you have officially been entered into your first 6 months of our Raving Fan Appreciation Program.

Included in the Raving Fan Appreciation Program:
  • Once a month, our raving fans will receive a custom PACKAGE on your front door – keep an eye out for it! Inside it you will receive a gift. We will make it fun each month, and there will even be opportunities to guess what it is. :)

The best thing to do is to tell your friend, family member or co-worker that we will be reaching out to them to give them some free information about buying or selling a home. People love it because we are coming from a place of contribution then we will reach out to them. We are NOT pushy or in their face. We come from a place of VALUE and will send them some tips about getting their home ready, or buying a home, etc. Another super easy way to be countered as an instruction is if you send us and your friend and email introduction with everyone’s contact information – you truly look like the hero!

Why I Support Sick Kids Hospital

I remember when I first heard about a young person close to our family suffering from a nasty disease and getting treated for that at Sick Kids Foundation. It was then that I began to pay closer attention to the work they do at that non-profit organization. 
Since then, I have learned that it is a collection of hard-working health care professionals, most making their home right here in the Greater Toronto area, all coming together for a common cause. That cause is to help young people overcome unfortunate health issues that life sometimes throws our way. Now, not only being a son but also a father, I take pride in supporting in a way that I can see the good work these people do for the children.

My team rallies around our annual goal of raising money and donating portions of our income to help the Sick Kids Foundation in their quest to heal young people when they need healing.
